Recently in Reiki

Recently, I started reading books by Teresa Caputo and James Van Praagh, just to get a sense of how to deal with my abilities, and I was curious of their experiences too.

With James' books, it occurred to me that several things he mentioned were close to what I had always thought or assumed to be true.

His book teaches and shows much on spirituality.

Anyways, I started to also practice more of reiki, and would always find myself reiki-ing something - myself, my cat, my kids, my husband, a bottle of water, and anyone who would be open to receive reiki from me.

In the office, I found myself in situations where I'd have open discussions about reiki to anyone who asked or was willing to listen.

I found myself in situations where my regular lunch partners were not available and would make lunch appointments with new people!

And surprisingly, I have gotten to know these people better in just one lunch, than when I'd be sitting in the same area or working on the same projects together for months or even years!

The thing is - I am starting to believe that in life, there are no accidents.

Everything happens for a reason.

I met this lady - Ana - for lunch one day, and we clicked really well, despite the age gap. And it turns out she is a good friend of my big boss - Joyce - who, was suffering from a really terrible almost-bronchitic cough- for the past few weeks. Even her secretary, Teri, was also having the same terrible flu, and had difficulties sleeping and breathing properly.

Now, Teri is someone whom I had confided with earlier in the year about my abilities and about the reiki - and though she is a relatively strict Christian - she totally believed me.

So during that lunch, Ana mentioned several times about her having differing health problems, on and off, and mostly always experiencing the severe end of the issue.  Then I decided to tell her about reiki and its benefits for the individual and the people around them.  She was extremely keen on how to learn it and I just directed her to the correct channels, in case she wanted to take up the course.

On the same day, I had heard Teri and Joyce coughing and hacking away terribly in the office (and everybody heard them and were very concerned indeed). As I knew Teri better, I told Teri that I would reiki a bottle of drinking water or distilled water, for her to consume later in the day.

The next morning, Teri rushed over to me suddenly and proclaimed,"It worked! It worked! The cough is GONE!"

I was pleasantly surprised, and happy that it worked out for her.

That same afternoon, I had a request from Teri to make another bottle of reiki water - this time, for Joyce!  So I did and passed it to Joyce.

Joyce, being one of the senior managers, was surprisingly open and also keen to know more about reiki.  FYI, I don't normally run around with people from senior management coz there is such a gap in the hierarchy, but Joyce was also pretty keen to lunch out with me just so she could have a 1-to-1 reiki session. It did help that Ana has also mentioned reiki to her before that! Amazing how things start to connect?

Now, with reiki, it can either expedite the healing process, or have you going through the worst patch of that illness - only to come out of it stronger and better. That's a part of reiki coz the healing process is different for everyone.

An example of that, is when I first graduated and reiki-ed my sister. She told me the next day, that that night was the first time she had slept so soundly and deeply.  She had been having a tough time at work, and was experiencing insomnia on and off. So reiki gave her the rest her body badly needed.

However, the next round I reiki-ed her, she couldn't sleep! She was too energetic and found herself completing many things in a night. Well, she probably needed to finish some things, I suppose?

Well, there are more reiki experiences but I shall leave that to the next post!
